B2B PLATFORM / INTEGRATIONS

Commerce, connected.

The entire buying journey in one place.

Interface concept: The entire buying journey in one place.

WHO THIS SCENARIO IS FOR

The entire buying journey in one place.

For a company where customers regularly order products, and sales representatives spend a lot of time on pricing, availability, and status inquiries.

STEP 01

The customer sees their specific terms

After logging in, they receive the appropriate catalog, purchase units, and individual prices. Availability has a defined meaning and update timestamp. We reduce uncertainty before the order is placed.

STEP 02

The order undergoes validation

The application checks items, company data, and required acceptances. A price change or product unavailability does not clear the cart. The user can correct the specific issue and continue.

STEP 03

Status is returned to the customer

The order is sent to the processing system, and the portal displays the subsequent progress. The team has an integration history and a queue of exceptions. The customer does not need to email about every change.

01 / CHALLENGE

The customer asks about availability, the sales team checks the ERP, and the order arrives by email.

02 / SOLUTION

A B2B portal shows the catalog, individual prices and availability. Orders go to the ERP, while customers can track their status.

03 / HOW TO MEASURE VALUE

Order processing time, status inquiries and the share of self-service orders.

DESIGN DECISIONS

A scope you can test.

We would start with the most common type of order and a selected group of recipients. The ERP could remain the source of settlements, while the portal handles purchase convenience. We would establish pricing, reservation, and role rules before designing additional recommendations or AI features.

How would we plan a pilot?

The pilot would include a full purchase by real users from the selected segment. We would measure the share of self-completed orders, necessary interventions, and status inquiries. It would be particularly important to determine why customers return to phone or email despite having access to the portal.

SAMPLE ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

What needs to work?

  • The customer sees only prices and orders available to their company.
  • Availability changes before approval are handled clearly.
  • An interrupted save and re-click do not duplicate the order.
  • The status in the portal has consistent meaning with the status in the target system.
